Sterling Wins Gold Stevie Award for Global Sales Team of the Year

Background Screening and HR Solutions Company Takes Home Prominent Sales Award

March 15, 2017 – New York, NY – Sterling (Sterling), one of the world’s largest background screening and HR solutions companies, is honoured to announce that they have recently won the Gold Stevie Award for Global Sales Team of the Year. This award is part of the Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service, which honours the world’s best in customer service, contact centers, business development and sales professionals.

The global sales award categories recognize sales teams whose industry has a global scope and provides a great way to benchmark an organization’s achievements against other companies. In 2016, the Sales and Customer Service Awards attracted more than 2,100 nominations from more than 30 countries.

The sales team at Sterling includes more than 140 sales representatives and 25 sales leaders in offices across the US, Canada and the UK. Their focus is on acquiring new clients across all market segments and industries, while continuously improving the value proposition and retention of Sterling’s current clients. The team goes through a rigorous professional development process, receiving training on a continuous basis with a strong emphasis on evolving customer needs and product knowledge.

Sterling recently restructured their sales team to support more of a coaching mentality. A growing sales team focused on serving global enterprises is vital to the company’s future success.

The awards are judged by a panel of more than 200 judges from around the world including executives, entrepreneurs, innovators and business educators. The entries go through a two-phase review process: preliminary and final. During the preliminary stage, each entry was reviewed and rated on a 1 to 10 scale. During the final stage, the submissions were re-judged and scored by a separate group of judges. The finalist entry receiving the highest score after judging received the Gold Stevie Award, the next highest received the Silver Award winner and the remaining finalists received a Bronze Award status.
