SterlingBackcheck Appoints Billy Goldstein Head of M&A

NEW YORK, October 5, 2015 – SterlingBackcheck, the world’s largest company dedicated solely to background screening, announced today that Billy Goldstein has joined the company as senior vice president for mergers & acquisitions. Mr. Goldstein joins SterlingBackcheck as it accelerates its ambitious multi-year strategy of domestic and global corporate expansion.

Mr. Goldstein brings more than 20 years of experience working with technology, media and telecom companies as an investment banker at several top global investment banks including Goldman Sachs, Macquarie Capital and J.P. Morgan.  In these roles, he led M&A transactions with an aggregate value of $100 billion and raised more than $36 billion in debt and equity. Most recently, Mr. Goldstein led Persevent Group LLC, a boutique advisory and investment firm, as its chief executive officer.

Mr. Goldstein holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSE in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated summa cum laude.
