2016 was quite the year for Sterling! We successfully merged with TalentWise at the beginning of the year, expanded our global presence with the acquisition of RISQ in the Asia Pacific market, rebranded our name to Sterling in June, acquired Verified Persons in the autumn. During the past year, Sterling continued its role as a leader in Human Capital Management Industry sharing thought-leadership information on hot topics, such as background screening, onboarding, compliance, global hiring, candidate experience and more. We have been asked to participate in conference speaking events and we have earned more than 100 media spots since January 1, 2016, including The New York Times, HR Review, Global Recruiter, The Wall Street Journal and Forbes.
As our technology and organisation continues to grow, we have been recognized with multiple awards for our company as well as our leadership, including WorkForce Management Hot List of Background Screening Providers, Stevie Awards for Women in Business, HRO Magazine’s Baker Dozen Best Background Screening Providers, Best in Biz 2016 Executive of the Year and The Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies. We were recently excited to share our international silver and bronze wins for Best Background Screening Provider of 2016 at the HR Vendors of the Year awards in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Our team was judged on four areas: product, people, perspective and performance. We are honored to display the awards that we have achieved in the past year to symbolize the dedication from every person in every Sterling office around the world.
