Sterling Receives Stevie Award for Customer Service and Global Sales Teams
We are very proud to announce that Sterling was recently awarded a Gold Stevie Award for Global Sales Team for the second year in a row and the Bronze Stevie Award for Customer Service Department of the Year-All Other Industries. The Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service honours “the achievements of contact center, customer service, business development and sales professionals worldwide”. Winning a Stevie Award is a terrific way to benchmark an organisation’s achievements against others in the same industry.
Sterling’s Global Sales Team
The Sterling sales team includes 150 sales representatives and sales development representatives at offices throughout the globe, including offices in New York, California, Colorado, Ohio, Vancouver, Seattle, UK, Mumbai and Manila. Across the globe, our team is capturing inbound prospects through our website, lead generation efforts and content marketing strategy.
Our sales teams go through a strenuous training process and receive training on a continuous basis with a strong focus on verticals. New training certification programmes have also been implemented for major product lines, giving teams a more in-depth discussion on Sterling’s products and messaging. In 2017, Sterling expanded the Sales Support team, which allows the sales representatives to do more prospecting and nurturing of their clients instead of spending time on paperwork and administrative duties. This approach puts clients at ease with more support during the deployment and onboarding process while reducing the time to close new business.
Sterling’s Customer Service Department
Since the acquisition of five companies since 2015, Sterling made the decision to realign our customer service teams into vertical-based operational and service groups. These client groupings have dramatically increased client programme performance, along with driving increased client satisfaction. The industry-aligned verticals provide subject matter expertise and best practice recommendations to ensure each vertical team understands the unique needs specific to the industry (i.e., staffing, healthcare, financial services, transportation, retail, technology, on-demand, etc.).
To drive a premier client experience, Sterling believes that focusing on the development of its employees is a must. Our customer service team goes through a rigorous training programme. We have strict certification requirements in place, which are also required for advancement within the department. This not only places a strong emphasis on employee professional development but also provides employees with the knowledge needed to meet our daily client demands.
